Welcome to Aspires

Aspires is an adult Day Centre for individuals with learning disabilities, based in King’s Lynn, Norfolk.

Aspires Day Centre

At Aspires, we take pride in providing individuals with a chance to feel appreciated, boost their confidence, and develop their self-esteem in a sheltered work experience within our Day Centre. We have live contracts with our customers.

We also provide Life Skills and promote independence to our service members.

A typical day at Aspires

In the mornings we provide work experience to our service members, where they work on live contracts for local businesses.

We have a refreshment break during the morning and then afterwards we continue with our contract work.

We then have lunch (a packed lunch is required), before commencing with our free time activities. This could include craft, promoting Life Skills and building independence through various means. You may like to even bring in some of your favourite craft ideas or games.

We would love to welcome you to our team!

What Aspires can offer you

At Aspires, we are here to support you in many different ways. Whether it’s creating a personal development plan, helping you craft a CV, learning essential reading and writing skills, practicing interview role-plays, or gaining knowledge about personal safety at home and in the community—we’re dedicated to helping you develop everyday skills that foster independence.

Aspires is designed to meet the needs of individuals with less complex requirements, focusing on providing meaningful work experience within a supportive environment.

Our goal is to offer a learning space where service members can build confidence and skills, which may eventually lead to voluntary or paid employment. Some of our service members are already volunteering in charity shops, and others have successfully transitioned into paid roles.

We understand that employment options aren’t suitable for everyone, depending on individual needs and abilities. That’s why we also offer the same valuable work experience in a safe and supportive setting, tailored to each person’s unique journey toward independence.

How you can join us

Our service members are either referred to us through social services or you can self refer as a private client.

If you require a referral, please speak with your local authority, who will be able to guide you.

Alternatively, if you would like to join as a private client, please contact us through the contact us form. We will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

We offer a meet and greet for you to visit the premises and meet staff and other service members, before you choose the next step. This may be through a taster session to see if the Day Centre is suitable for your needs.

Come and see the fun and games we all have!
